Provincial government distributes food packs, hygiene kits to families hardest hit by Typhoon Enteng

LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN—The provincial government, under the leadership of Gov. Ramon V. Guico III, has strengthened its relief response operations to ensure immediate support to affected families and individuals during disasters.

128 individuals received food packs and hygiene kits on September 7 through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in coordination with LGU Malasiqui and Alcala.

Affected by Typhoon Enteng include 12 families/41 individuals in Brgy. Butao (Malasiqui); 4 families/8 individuals at Brgy. Barang, Malasiqui, and 16 families/79 individuals at Brgy. Canarvacanan, Alcala, respectively.

Meanwhile, three (3) affected families were likewise recorded in Barangay San Juan who, however, chose to stay with relatives instead of staying at the Alcala Training Center, which was used as an evacuation center.

The relief operation was just one of the province’s various ongoing assistance to families stricken by natural or man-made calamities.

The activity manifests good leadership and displays the undying bayanihan spirit of Pangasinenses.
