LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN—Governor Ramon V. Guico III and Vice Governor Mark Ronald DG. Lambino, members of the provincial board, heads of various offices and hospitals, as well as employees, welcomed Miss Multinational Philippines 2024 Nikki Buenafe on her homecoming to Pangasinan on July 29.
Buenafe was crowned Miss Multinational Philippines 2024 during the grand coronation night for Miss Philippines World last July 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Governor Guico, in his speech, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the newly-crowned beauty queen for bringing honor to Pangasinan. He likewise thanked Buenafe’s mother for raising a beautiful and intelligent young lady whose beauty is beyond aesthetics but resonates with purpose as well.
The governor likewise commended the Limgas na Pangasinan executive committee, spearheaded by its chairperson, First Lady Maan Tuazon-Guico, who took charge of rebranding the province’s mother of all pageants.
“It is my fervent wish that Pangasinan will continue to produce more beauty queens in the future,” Mrs. Guico said as she disclosed that under the present administration’s watch, Limgas na Pangasinan has gained stature as a world-class pageant for Pangasinense women.
As a token of appreciation, the executive and legislative branches of the provincial government awarded the lovely queen a plaque of recognition and a plaque of resolution, respectively.
“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan recognized the combination of the Filipina beauty queen’s positive attitude and the strong determination of Miss Buenafe to bring home the crown to her fellow Pangasinenses,” the SP resolution partly stated.
Thanking her fellow Pangasinenses and the people behind her recent success, Buenafe encouraged young ladies to come out of their shells and keep chasing their dreams, just as she did.
Prior to Buenafe’s title as Limgas na Pangasinan 2023, she was crowned Binibining Binmaley in the same year. She will represent the country and the province in the international competition for Miss Multinational World in India in December 2024.
