LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN – Lingayen stunner Felicity C. Mamplata was crowned Limgas na Pangasinan-World 2025 during the coronation night on April 25 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) gymnasium here.
Mamplata was crowned along with Sta. Barbara’s Angelica Joy B. Florez and Calasiao charmer Claire Arwen V. Cacal who were adjudged Limgas na Pangasinan-Grand and Mutya, respectively.
The royal entourage is completd by Sual candidate Alannis Sophia Melarne F. Hodge, and Asingan pride Clarisse C. Borbe as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.
The 21 equally beautiful and witty ladies underwent intense scrutiny from highly revered board of judges to include Geronimo “Gerry” Diaz, owner of Aces and Queens; Myrna Esguerra, Binibining Pilipinas International 2024; Christine Julianne Opiaza, Miss Grand International 2024 1st runner-up; Krishnah Marie Gravidez, Miss World Philippines 2024; Bea Gomez, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 & GMA Sparkle Artist; Carla Abellana, Kapuso Primetime Goddess; and, Michael Castaneda, the Pampanga Provincial Tourism Officer.
The 21 candidates looked fabulous in their swim wear and evening gown during the grand night, grilled by the jury on where they shared point of views on different topics to determine the final five candidates.
Meanwhile, Gov. Ramon V. Guico III thanked the people behind the prestigious beauty pageant which was repacked since 2023 to add emphasis not just on the aesthetics of the candidates but to become a showroom of creativity of local or homegrown designers and make-up artists.
Chaired by Pangasinan First Lady Maan Tuazon-Guico, Limgas na Pangasinan, which was launched in 1973, had its most improved version under the care of the present administration thru the Executive Committee in partnership with Aces and Queens, a beauty camp that provides training and coaching to pageant candidates.
From the production numbers to the overall concept of the pageant, Limgas has become an avenue where trademarks of being a Pangasinense are best exemplified.
“As the chairperson of this event, I am incredibly proud not just of the glitz and glamour but because it gives us a chance to celebrate the ‘ganda at galing’ of every Pangasinense. Our Limgas candidates…21 queens, 21 dreams…represent our future. Strong, beautiful and vibrant,” Mrs. Guico said earlier.
The minor awards are: Darling of the Press – Rosemarie O. Ernang (Urdaneta City); Miss Photogenic – Claire Arwen V. Cacal (Calasiao); Miss Friendship & Best in Swimsuit – Felicity C. Mamplata (Lingayen); Best in Talent – Freda V. Rosario (Labrador); Best Artist Ang Galing Video – Grace Jineah C. Lumague (Pozorrubio).
The Best in Advocacy Video went to Angelica Joy B. Flores (Sta. Barbara); Best in Evening Gown – Leinahtan L. Sarmiento (San Carlos City); Best Evening Gown Designer – Michael Miguel worn by Reign Joy C. Lim (Bayambang); Best in Creative Costume – Ma Julianne Vernice F. Nandin (Rosales); Best Creative Costume Designer – Simeon Cayetano worn by Angelica Joy B. Flores (Sta. Barbara).
Present during the event were Vice Gov. Mark Ronald DG. Lambino who delivered the welcome address and wife Atty. Melanie, and various department heads and chiefs of hospitals; representatives of different line agencies; and some local chief executives.
The coronation night hosts were Miss Universe 2020 Rabiya Mateo and Unang Hirit weather reporter Anjo Perteir.
