On the other hand, recognizing the need for expert guidance and valuable insights, A dedicated team of Hon. Philip Theodore Cruz, 2nd District Board Member, Province of Pangasinan, along with Engr. Amadeo B. Veras, Provincial Engineer, Nestor Batalla, Assistant Provincial Agriculturist, and Von Mark Mendoza, Special Assistant to the Governor, recently embarked on a benchmarking activity in Indonesia, a country renowned for its thriving salt farming industry. The team sought to learn from the Indonesian experience and gain inspiration for their own salt farming project. Through meetings with Indonesian salt farmers, visits to established salt farms, and knowledge exchange sessions, the delegation absorbed valuable knowledge on best practices, technology adoption, and effective management strategies.
