The Provincial Archives and Records Center (PARC) under the Office of the Governor was established as a separate unit of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan on January 1, 2021 by virtue of Provincial Ordinance No. 248-2020, ” An Ordinance Creating the Provincial Archives Records Center (PARC) under the Office of the Governor and Appropriating Funds therefor” by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
The creation was in consonance with Republic Act 9470, otherwise known as the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007 which allows local government units to create a separate archives center tasked to safekeep, preserve and manage the documents which are indispensable testament of the history, culture, tradition and governance of the province.

A highly functional repository of the Archives and Records of the Province of Pangasinan.
Mission
To manage, protect, and preserve the valuable documents of the province for posterity and for history.
Objectives
1. To serve as repository of provincial archives and records and make these available to the public.
2. To serve as source of policies for the promulgation and implementation of modern methods and practices in archives and records management in the province.
3. To manage, evaluate, safekeep and preserve documents and records for history and prosperity.
