LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—February 21, 2019 was a day filled with fun, relaxation and bonding as provincial government employees came together to celebrate the 8th Employees’ Family Day held at the Capitol Baywalk and the Provincial Training and Development Center (PTDC).

Anchored on the theme “Malusog na Empleyado, Serbisyo’y Sigurado,” the said event which started in 2011 under the administration of former governor and now 5th district Rep Amado T. Espino, Jr. forms part of the provincial government’s health and wellness program for Capitol employees.

Speaking before the Capitol’s employees, Governor Amado I. Espino, III who took time despite his busy schedule, to mingle with the Capitol employees, looks forward to an expanded celebration of employees next year.

“An expanded celebration would allow you to partake in more events as a respite of your workloads, and an avenue to bond with one another to strengthen camaraderie,” Governor Espino said.

Giving an overview of the event, Ms. Janet C. Asis, Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Officer, noted that the health and wellness program for Capitol employees intends “to recognize their performance as well as to give them a chance to improve their well-being.”

“Ito pong wellness program na ito ay kasama hindi lamang ang kalusugan ng pangangatawan, kundi pati na rin ng pang-kagandahang panlabas. Pinapakita po dito ‘yong pagsasamahan ng mga empleyado hindi lang sa trabaho kundi pati na rin sa kalusugan,” Asis said.

As early as 6:00 am in said day, Capitol employees participated in a Zumba activity, followed by an obstacle course contest among seven clustered offices of the provincial government.

Later on, an opening program held at the PDTC set the tone of the annual employees’ event.

The employees were treated to various free-of-charge beauty and healthcare services courtesy of TESDA and other entrepreneurs. The services provided: massage and reflexology, hair and beauty care services, facial care services, manicure/pedicure and hand and foot spa.
