SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN # 9 FINAL
FOR:Tropical Storm #KardingPH
Tropical Cyclone: ALERT

ISSUED AT:11:00 AM, 11 August 2018

TROPICAL STORM “#KardingPH” IS NOW OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (PAR).

• The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by Tropical Storm #KardingPh will continue to bring scattered to widespread monsoon rains over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon and the western section of Southern Luzon. In particular, moderate to at times heavy rains is expected over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and Rizal. Residents of these areas advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates.
• Sea travel remains risky over the western seaboard of Luzon.
• Meanwhile, at 10:00 AM today, the Tropical Depression was estimated at 1,030 km West of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (21.3°N, 112.1°E) with maximum winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving North at 10 km/h towards southeastern China and has no direct effect on any part of the country.

Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “KARDING” was estimated based on all available data at 905 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR) (25.1 °N, 129.2 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h
Forecast Movement: Moving Northwest at 25 km/h

Forecast Positions:
• 24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): 825 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR)(27.5°N, 124.4°E)
• 48 Hour(Monday morning):1,290 km North Northwest of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR)(31.8°N, 119.3°E)

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING SIGNAL
