Lingayen, Pangasinan — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently has conferred to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) bronze award.

 

CSC Lingayen Office Director Flordeliza Bugtong, during the August 6 regular flag-raising ceremony of the provincial government held at the Capitol Plaza, presented the said award to the provincial government led by Governor Amado I. Espino, III.

 

It was noted that with the bronze award, the provincial government thru Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (PHRMDO) is found to be compliant with the PRIME-HRM maturity indicators, including the processes, programs and projects performed and managed by the province for its employees which are attuned to CSC requirements.

 

Governor Espino took pride of another proof of excellence accorded to the province to recognize its best practices in HRM.

 

Among the 43 awardees, Pangasinan, Cebu and Aklan are the only three provinces in the country to be cited.

 

Receiving the award on behalf of Governor Espino during the awarding ceremony of the 2018 Public Sector HR Symposium held on July 20 at SMX Convention Center in Davao City were Assistant Provincial Human Resource Management and Development OfficEr Jaile De Leon, and Internal Auditor IV Louie Ocampo.

 

Meanwhile, the CSC invited the provincial government of Pangasinan thru its PHRMDO to share its best practices and experiences in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of its processes, programs and projects related to the four core systems of HRM (recruitment, selection, and placement; learning and development; performance management; and rewards and recognition.)

 

Pangasinan PHRMDO Chief Janette C. Asis shared onstage the best practices of Pangasinan representing all local government units in the country during the program which gathered almost 2,500 HR practitioners from the government, private sector, and member states of the ASEAN community.

 

Asis discussed on “The Strength of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan which is the Learning and Development shaping the entire HR system leading to institutional/organizational development, performance and productivity.
