LINGAYEN, Pangasinan –  For a faster and more effective delivery of public service in the province, the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, led by Governor Amado I. Espino III, has acquired new provincial vehicles and equipment.

 

New provincial vehicles and equipment, such as: one dredging machine, six provincial buses, two service vehicles and one ambulance.

 

The provincial government has existing six provincial buses which were purchased during the first term of the former Governor, now Representative of the 5th District, Cong. Amado T. Espino, Jr.

 

In the meantime, one of the old buses was later customized as a ‘Job Fair on Wheels bus’ used for the intensification of the job placement assistance program of the provincial government at he grassroots, while another one is now undergoing upgrading to become ‘educational-training bus.’

 

In his speech during the regular flag-raising ceremony on August 6, Governor Espino shared with optimism that these provincial buses are specifically purchased for the welfare of Pangasinenses.

 

Governor also said that ensuring the safety of Pangasinenses propelled the provincial government in purchasing the dredging machine which will be utilized to dredge up silted rivers to minimize flooding in the province.

 

In saying this, the provincial chief executive urged his fellow public servants to continue the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm in serving Pangasinenses as he quoted the famous line of former governor and now fifth district representative Congressman Amado T. Espino, Jr., “Ang pagod at sakripisyo po natin ay para na sa mga susunod na henerasyon ng Pangasinan.”

 

Provincial Engineer Antonieta C. Delos Santos, on the other hand, bared that each new provincial bus is customized with reclining chairs to give comfort to its passengers which can accommodate 47 seaters at most.

 

The two new service vehicles, accordingly, will be used by General Services Officer Evan Gladish P.  Domalanta and Provincial Population Officer Ellsworth G. Gonzales, respectively.

 

Engr. Delos Santos disclosed that except the two service vehicles, the total cost of the newly-acquired provincial vehicles and equipment amount to approximately P104 million.

 

It can be learned that the new ambulance, donated by Steritex Medical System, will be utilized by the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH) was granted through a deed of donation as part of the memorandum of agreement entered into by the provincial government for the provision, installation, operation and maintenance of radiology equipment and applications system to be located at the PPH.

 

The provincial engineer also noted that the provincial government is still anticipating few more vehicles by the end of the year, such as: five closed vans, two dump trucks, water truck, garbage compactor and others.

 

Governor Espino was joined by some members of the Sangguninang Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr.
