typhoon maria

BANTAY BAGYO | Typhoon Maria (international name) was located at 1,995 km east of Casiguran, Aurora at 10:00 a.m. With maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (kph), and gustiness of up to 225 kph, it is slowly moving in a northwest direction.

“Maria” may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday and will be given the local name #GardoPH. Landfall in any part of the country remains less likely, but the typhoon may enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which will bring monsoon rains to Metro Manila and the western sections of Central Luzon, of CALABARZON and of MIMAROPA beginning Monday.
