Joy May Anne F. Barcoma of Villasis town has been adjudged ‘Darling of the Press’ of the 2018 Limgas na Pangasinan beauty search


LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Joy May Anne F. Barcoma of Villasis town has been adjudged ‘Darling of the Press’ of the 2018 Limgas na Pangasinan beauty search.


Nineteen-year old Barcoma, who stands 5’4”, bested 22 other Limgas hopefuls to bag the said award during the press presentation held on April 2 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center, here.


The ‘Darling of the Press’ award is given to a Limgas candidate who earned the nod of the majority of mediamen who were present during the media presentation, where the candidates were asked to answer questions of social relevance.


Barcoma, a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, previously represented the National Capital Region in the Miss PASUC (Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges) national search where she became the titleholder.


Earlier, the Limgas bets were presented during the regular flag-raising ceremony of the provincial government held at the Capitol Plaza.


Provincial Population Officer Ellsworth Gonzales, Limgas na Pangasinan chairperson, said the 23 official Limgas candidates were selected during the screening period in adherence to the qualifications and requirements as agreed on by the screening committee.


The 23 Limgas bets are: Aura Vanaessa Manlongat (Malasiqui), Yna Bacalanmo (San Manuel), Riza Mae Colcol (Dasol), Arbie Rapisora (Sta. Maria), Princess Soliven (Anda), Hannah Quezon (Bugallon), Marikit Manaois (Sison), Jemimah Ann Torrado (Urdaneta City), Nicole Sarah Lastimosa (Lingayen), Marianne Royulada (Rosales), Joy May Anne Barcoma (Villasis), Elisabeth Jane Henanger (Alaminos City), Junie Caintic (Sta. Barbara), Dorothy Mei Pagal (Calasiao), Diana Jean Cayabyab (Bautista), Sittie Hannah Morcir (Umingan), Rose Lyn Reyes (Manaoag), Regine Mae Angel Dumbrique (San Carlos City), Judy Ann Caasi (Bolinao), Jessica Darlene Concepcion (Pozorrubio), Gell Vinluan (Binmaley), Samantha Mae Fernandez (Bugallon), and Jireh Grace Austria (Lingayen).


Limgas preliminaries to be held prior to the pageant and coronation night on April 30 at the Capitol Plaza in Lingayen include: talent showdown and One-Town One-Product inspired festival costume parade on April 20 (Sison Auditorium) and the Pre-Pageant on April 24 (Sison Auditorium).
