The Vice Governor and the Board Members tackled the implementation of the Local Investment Plan for Health (LIPH) 2017-2019.


LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – On behalf of the province, Governor Amado I. Espino, III will enter and sign Terms of Partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Office I for the implementation of the Local Investment Plan for Health (LIPH) 2017-2019.

Made possible through Provincial Resolution No. 1220-2018, which was unanimously approved by the Pangasinan provincial board led by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. during the regular session on January 15, the Terms of Partnership between the province and DOH aims to backstop the LIPH of the province.

The LIPH 2017-2019 will serve as a vehicle to carry out the objectives of the Philippine Health Agenda (PHA) in order to provide the best health benefits and services for the people.

Authored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan members Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario and Noel C. Bince, the resolution states that “the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, in partnership with the DOH, shall support ‘All For Health Towards Health For All’ program geared towards ensuring the delivery of health services for every Pangasinense through the implementation.”

The theme: “All For Health Towards Health For All” aims to guarantee financial protection, better health outcomes and responsiveness for all Filipinos.

The resolution also states that the LIPH guarantees the implementation of programs, projects, activities in the province of Pangasinan, together with its component LGUs, toward achieving a more responsive health system and equitable healthcare financing.

As such, through the LIPH, the province of Pangasinan shall receive financial allocation support from DOH and other sectors for the implementation of its approved Annual Operational Plan for 2018.

This undertaking is also anchored on the focal objective of the provincial government – to make Pangasinan the home of the healthiest Filipinos.

Hence, all members who were present during the regular session on January 15 unanimously agreed with the vice governor.
