Lingayen, Pangasinan – Governor Amado I. Espino, III, led the inauguration and blessing of the new two-storey Administrative-Out Patient Department (OPD) building of the  Lingayen District Hospital (LDH) on August 8, capping the hospital’s 25th founding anniversary.

The said building which houses the administrative and OPD offices was funded by the Department of Health (DOH) through its Hospital Facility Enhancement Program and was built by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in collaboration with the provincial government of Pangasinan.

“Katulong nyo ang provincial government, ginagawa natin ang lahat ng paraan para mapagaan ang trabaho ninyo,” Gov. Pogi said, as he acknowledged the tireless efforts and sacrifices made by the LDH staff who are attending to patients at four times the hospital bed capacity of the hospital.

In line with the provincial government’s thrust in providing quality and affordable health care, Governor Espino said that more structures and facilities will soon rise in LDH which will pave the way to the development of a medical complex in Lingayen.

This, he said, will create new job opportunities to maintain the newly-built facilities as well as the new building project for the institution.

LDH Chief of Hospital Athena Merrera, said the event is a collaborative reflection of the support of DOH, the provincial government and the noble sacrifices of all the staff of the institution to become the choice hospital by the majority, most especially patients in far-flung areas of the province.
