Lingayen – A recently-held activity by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) underscored the thriving partnership of the agency and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pangasinan in human resource development.
The TESDA-LGU Pangasinan partnership was lauded during the regional launching of the Tendering System for the grantees of the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) held at the Sison Auditorium on March 7 which was led by TESDA Deputy Director General Diosdado Padilla.
The tendering system, a process of selecting training providers for scholarship availment, benefits 1,921 scholarship grantees from 52 TVIs in the region which are members of the Regional Association of Technical Vocational Institutions.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rhodyn Lochinvar Oro, who represented Governor Amado I. Espino, III during the regional launching noted that the provincial government and the TESDA work hand-in-hand in enriching the province’s integrated human resource development program.
Oro said that the TESDA’s TWSP which is implemented in the provincial government through the Provincial Employment Services Office complements the human resource development thrust of the provincial administration.
Expressing support during the tendering system regional launching were TESDA regional director Cenon Querubin, TESDA Pangasinan provincial director Manuel Wong and other provincial directors in the region.
