Mangaldan beauty Rosalyn E. Suratos was crowned as the Limgas na Pangasinan 2012 after impressing the judges with her wit and charm in the final question and answer portion held May 1 at the elegant Sison Auditorium here. The fair complexioned lady with an almost perfect body curves and winsome smile, captured the viewers attention with her mellow-dramatic catwalk in her powder pink gown that has won the judges’ verdict that has earned her another minor award as Best in Long Gown. Suratos, who was Miss Mangaldan 2010, also bagged the Best in Talent award with her triple combination of talent in dancing via Hawaiian piece, bottle flaring and belly dancing. Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. congratulated the winners as he commended all candidates for their exemplary wit and extraordinary charm which personify the genuine beauty of the province. “It makes us proud to be Pangasinenses,” he earlier said as he noted that the title holder will serve as the provincial government’s ambassadress in all its tourism and environment-related undertakings. The Governor also said that the pageant night which was held at the elegant hall of the Sison Auditorim is not just an occasion where beauty and charm was emphasized but a venue where Pangasinenses can be of equal footing pointing as an example two children in slippers and the men and women wearing formal outfits. “Natutuwa ako na pantay-pantay po tayo dito sa gabing ito walang mataas, walang mababa. Lahat pantay-pantay. Lahat gustong mapanood ang mga magaganda at matatalinong kandidata,” he stressed. This year’s runner-ups for Limgas 2012 are Jamaica Colorado of Dasol (1st runner-up) and Clarisse Isanan of Dagupan City (2nd runner-up). Candidates who bagged other minor awards are as follows: Marjorie Paningbatan (Bautista), Best in OTOP (One-Town-One-Product) Costume; Denielle Joie Magno (Dagupan City), Darling of the Press and Best in Swimsuit; Johnalyn Ferrer (Laoac), Miss Friendship; Sarah P Gabrillo (Dagupan), Miss Photogenic and Miss Natasha Beauty; and Karel Mejia (San Nicolas), Smart Texters’ Choice Award. The top three candidates went home with big cash prizes that includes P80,000 for the title holder, P50,000 for the 1st runner-up, and P30,000 for the 2nd runner.
